We had a great time filming at Log Cabin Village on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and there were several people in attendance. The students worked on their film skills. They also interviewed various people on the grounds about their visit to LCV. In the next week, the students will do a feature story on Log Cabin Village that will be posted upon completion. Under the direction of Mr. Rinkel, we will also begin work on a documentary on life in the 1850s and 1860s focusing on cabin life and life during the civil war. We hope to have it completed by March. Below are some photos of our day at Log Cabin Village:
Terah and Caleb interviewing a Civil War soldier.
Infantry soldier for the Confederate Army
Braydon, Ben, and Brandon with one of the various cabins.
Mr. Rosen making pottery.

This week we began experimenting with the green screen and other options to change up our newscast. We are working hard and things are starting to fall into place. Next week, we will take a day and reflect and learn the techniques and tips of interviewing. I hope to add a feature story to our newscast at least once a week. I will also be evaluating job descriptions and move some job duties around. I’m looking forward to next weeks newscasts. Below are some pictures from the last two weeks:
Lincoln and Kari working on the audio.
Ben and Sara getting the script together.
Kacy in front of the green screen.
The studio minutes before the broadcast.
Caleb and Kacy shooting the weather.
